Truckin!

One of Lizzi's favorite things to do is go in the hay truck with Davey. As Rylie has gotten older he goes less and Lizzi goes more and more! One of her favorite things when she goes is to take pictures on her cell phone and send them to me throughout the day with updates! Her and Davey took these pics on one of the big snow days last week on top of the pass!

Lizzi
Lizzi has been taking piano lessons for almost two years now! We really hope that she enjoys playing as much as we enjoy her playing! LOL She has excelled so much in the last 6 months that it is amazing! She likes to write her own music and play the same ones over and over and over......LOL We got her a keyboard for Christmas so now she can practice in her bedroom! In these pictures she was part of a Ribbon Festival in Moses. She had ten different stations that she went to that included playing pieces and listening to notes and then telling what they were-for everything she completed she got a ribbon! She had so much fun we hope to get to go every year!

Christmas Photos

This time of year I always make the kids whine with just two words: Picture Day! Every year they know Christmas photo day will come and every year they still moan about! You'd think at 13 (almost 14!) and 10 they would be used to it by now! LOL Lizzi actually let me take way more pictures then I ever imagined and we ended up having a fun time! Thanks guys! These are just a few of my faves...guess we'll just have to see which ones make the card!

Shane and Tina

Every year on this week I feel a great sadness, and I know I'm not the only one. This year is 7 years since Shane and Tina passed away. They are greatly missed everyday. Sometimes it feels like only yesterday and sometimes it feels like it has been much longer. Death is very hard to accept but I find that remembering helps. I like to remember the good times, and also the way a community came together to help a family in their time of sorrow. So even though we are all saddened by such a huge loss I hope that we can all find comfort knowing that we have had the opportunity to know and love two amazing people.
I found this poem online and thought it portrayed exactly how I feel:
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane.
I would walk right up to heaven,
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
You and angels around Gods happy throne.
I would have held you closer if I had known.

Rylie's First Love!

Football!

Rylie's favorite time of the year has started-Football! He always has so much fun and tries so hard! He is one of the smallest kids on the team but what he lacks in size he makes up for in heart! This was their first game and they won 52-0! Rylie had two amazing tackles! It is so fun to watch and I hate to admit but as I'm watching I turn into one of "those" sports moms-you know the one I'm talking about! It's so hard not too! LOL! It is a great team and they all work really hard and work really well as a team, I have a feeling they will be really fun to watch through the next couple years!

Back to School
First day of school! Yea! Lizzi was so excited all night that she barely even slept! When she got off the bus she was asleep within 10 minutes! Don't you wish we could be that excited to go to work everyday?!
I can't believe Rylie is in the 8th grade this year! Next year I will have a High School Student! Where did all that time go? Somedays I feel so young and somedays I feel so old! LOL The only thing Rylie really looks forward to about school is Football!
